ENGLISH (11ENG)
Level 1, 21 credits. Leads directly to Year 12 English. This course contains Achievement Standards (5 external, 2 internal) and one Unit Standard in wide reading. This is a demanding course which requires good results from Year 10 English.
ENGLISH (11ESOL)
Level 1, 30 credits. This is an option for students who need to study a double option of English at this level. The course contains Achievement Standards (3 external, 2 internal) and 6 Unit Standards. Students are selected for this course by the ESOL Co-ordinator.
ENS (11ENS - English Standards)
Level 1, 19 credits. This is an option where students are selected by Year 10 results. The course contains Achievement Standards (3 external, 2 internal) and 3 Unit Standards. This course leads to the 12ENS course in Year 12.
ENGLISH (12ENG)
Level 2, 18/21 credits. The Year 12 English course leads directly to Year 13 English. The course contains Achievement Standards (4 external and 2 internal) and 1 Unit Standard in wide reading. This is a demanding course which requires good results from Year 11 English. One achievement standard worth 3 credits is for selected students only.
ENS – (12ENS - English Standards)
Level 2, 16 credits. The Year 12 ENS course leads to 13ENS. The course contains English Achievement Standards (2 external, 2 internal) and 1 Unit Standard in wide reading.
ENGLISH (13ENG)
Level 2/3, 26 credits. Students enter this course from 12 English. The course contains Achievement Standards (3 external, 3 internal) at Level 3 and 1 Unit Standard in essay writing at Level 2 English. This is a very demanding course which requires good results from Year 12 English. (Level 2 - 5 credits; Level 3 - 21 credits)
ENGLISH (13ENS – English Standards)
Level 2, Credit number depends on level completed. The course contains 2 external, 2 internal Achievement Standards in English and 3 Unit Standards in English. Students are selected for this course from Year 12 results. Those students who do not have U.E. Literacy are required to complete Unit Standard 12905 (Wide Reading) and possibly 8825 (Writing).
