Choir

Our McAuley High School choir took the stage once again at the annual Big Sing competition held at the Auckland Town Hall.  Knowing that we were the very first choir to perform was extremely nerve-racking but nonetheless we knew we could set a high standard for the rest of the 60 school choirs.
Looking at the girls as we walked back stage with enormous smiles and faces lit with excitement filled me with happiness.  It didn't matter if we made it to Nationals or not, I knew we performed at our very best and at the end of the day we were all winners. 
However, something truly amazing happened.  For the first time ever, our choir was invited to sing Cantate Domino at the Gala Concert!  This news brought tears of you to our girls.  It was such a fantastic experience for us, singing amongst the very top choirs in Auckland.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us this year and especially baie dankie Mr Goliath, our "hip" conductor.
