Responsibilities
We have the responsibility to:
- Uphold the teachings of Jesus
- Allow others to learn
- Keep our school a safe, tidy and healthy place
- Treat others with respect
- Act in ways that make us proud to belong to McAuley
Rules
- Wear the uniform correctly, with pride. Remember you represent the school even outside the school.
- Be on time to school and attend all classes.
- Follow the classroom code of conduct.
- You need written permission to leave the school property.
- No chewing gum.
- No vivids or twink.
- No radios, walkmen or electronic games.
- Mobile phones must be switched off in class.
McAuley High School has zero tolerance for
- Drugs
- Alcohol
- Violence
- Smoking
Good behaviour is expected at all times. We reward good behaviour with merit slips in Junior classes. Students who collect a certain number of merit slips, either as individuals or as members of class, qualify for small rewards such as stationery or tuckshop vouchers.
