11SAM
This course leads directly to Year 12 Samoan. It will enable students to develop their listening, writing, reading and speaking skills in the Samoan language. They will also begin to develop an understanding and appreciation of the Samoan culture. In-depth study and use of formal Samoan language will begin at this level, with internals focussing on speech, conversation, and writing. The external examinations will focus on the listening and reading aspects of the course.

12SAM
This course will provide students with an understanding of the Samoan language and culture. Units will cover: Family Roles and Responsibilities, Matay System, and Customs and Traditions of Samoa. An important aspect of this course is the Malaga and Samoan Culture Day which takes place every second year. It will give insight to Samoan society, its language and customs. Internal assessment will focus on speech, converstion, and writing. The external examinations will focus on the listening and reading aspects of the course.

13SAM
This course will encourage students to accomplish everyday tasks using Samoan and help them to communicate thoughts and opinions in the langugae. Students will learn to exchange experiences, information and points of view; they will learn to act/behave appropriately with respect to fa’asamoa. An important aspect of this course is the Malaga and Samoan Culture Day which takes place every second year. It will give insight to Samoan society, its language, and customs. Students are offered an opportunity to experience Samoan and cultural protocol.
